Carla is a passionate yoga instructor, holistic nutritionist, Health Coach and trained birth doula. She loves to share her interest and knowledge of the perinatal period through lively and active classes and workshops encouraging women to feel empowered through the process of pregnancy, labour and motherhood. She provides an open and supportive environment for learning, sharing and connecting.
Carla is empathetic to challenging demands of motherhood and the potential energy drain that ensues. Carla likes to foster community and sharing to normalize these experiences, break taboos and embrace the potential for growth in each moment.
Carla owns and operates Rasa Nutrition, a wellness business where she uses a combination of her skills and talents to bring women together for the purpose of empowered wellbeing.
Carla was honoured to be nominated for Best Yoga Teacher two years in a row (2016 and 2017) for Ottawa Faces Magazine Awards.
Julia has been helping women achieve their health and wellness goals through massage therapy since 2007. Her focus is on supporting people in playing a proactive role in their own care, a philosophy which is particularly apt for women during the birthing year. She also has post-graduate training in prenatal massage and labour support (birth doula care) and, as a mother herself, possesses a reverent understanding of the physical and emotional changes and challenges a woman often experiences during pregnancy, the marathon of birth, and the postpartum period.
Julia excels at providing calming, nurturing massage treatments that are both effective and sensitively performed. As a doula, she brings a positive and open attitude, loving nature, sense of humour and ability to listen as well as her special RMT-based skill set to the birthing process.
Julia owns and operates Nurturing Nomad Massage Therapy and Labour Support and sees clients at her clinic.
